Worldbuilding - NPCs
We have met a number of non-player characters in the first few episodes of the campaign. I am keeping a log of them all, as any one of them might provide another campaign hook, particularly those in Forlond, which is increasingly becoming a hive of scum and villainy!
Forlond
- Unnamed member of the Grey Fellows - rescues Kilia from the town guards and escorts her to the safety of the Saint & Ogre Inn
- Joss - surly gatekeeper who lets Elmander into the Livery Stables
- Unnamed aristocrat - a mysterious foreign woman of high class, who has asked Elmander to steal Lord Commander Flay’s horse and courier a secret message to her. She betrays him to the guards
- Lord Merrick - The proud and arrogant Lord of Forlond. Physically small, he nonetheless has an imposing personality, and is contemptuous of the dwarves of the Copper Hills, with whom he is having a trade dispute
- Cristan - Merrick’s equally obnoxious nephew, who is studying at the College of Magik with Mara, and has taken a dislike to her
- Gammer Verlaina - the head of the College of Magik, who has taken Mara under her wing
- Nella - the landlady of the Saint & Ogre Inn, who is an acquaintance of the Grey Fellows and sets the party’s campaign in motion
- The High Fox - one of the leaders of the Grey Fellows, who we see teaching Kilia to be a pickpocket. He wears a fox mask to hide his identity
Mistenmoor
- Elwin - herbalist, rogue and member of the Grey Fellows Thieves’ Guild, who has been captured by a goblin band. He joins the party on their journey through The Shadow Woods
- Druk - malevolent hobgoblin, leader of a second band of goblins making its way down the Mistenmoors
- Keff - goblin scout, member of Druk’s band
The Shadow Woods
- The Wood Father - a chieftain of the gnome colony of Wahlea that occupies part of The Shadow Woods
- Queen Wahlea - Queen of the realm that bears her name. She makes a deal with the party to help her rid the realm of a strange peril
- Nisse and Tomte - taciturn gnome warriors who accompany the party on their hunt for the creature
